Eat, Pray, Love : Hawaii. A Divorce Gift

I was planning to begin posting about single girl life this Sunday.... However, I decided to share Hawaii real time.  It has become my Eat.Pray.Love journey as I am unexpectedly solo for this trip and left behind friends and family in a hurricane back in Florida.

Serendipity is real.  At least in my world.

This started with an easy flow at the airport which included random TSA speedy pre check in and free checked luggage.

Meeting an interesting person, named Paula, on my Uber ride share in Los Angeles, who after only 10 minutes chatting with me asked to be FB friends. She wanted to share some self empowering seminar she just completed and she also has a friend in Hawaii.  I knew already, it was going to be one of those very interesting trips.

I have been told Hawaii has healing powers.  I am planning to "go with my flow" and I feel more than okay about it now. I was nervous about traveling alone, but feel like it was simply meant to be. (Although, I am hopeful my travel companion will be able to meet me at some point.)

And than there was Lori.  A 60 year old mother of 4, married to a doctor. Originally from downtown Chicago, currently living in Minnesota.  We meet at the hotel bar in LA. Our common drink, a Blue Moon, allowed our conversation to flow and we hit it off instantly.  We talked for hours, about life, love and our life passions.  I gave her my blog info and number.  I will definitely be zip lining in the waterfalls of Hawaii because she highly recommended it.

People can be good.  They find us.  We find them.

I leave for Hawaii tonight.  First time there and am open to whatever life has to offer.

I am open and ready for adventures, simply to make sure I have plenty of writing material.
