Eat, Pray, Love : Hawaii. Tree Obsessed

In Hawaii, the tree has a spiritual significance of hope and renewal. As the most common of Hawaii’s forest trees, the kukui tree can grow up to 80 feet tall. Because of its fragrant white flowers, and of course its colorful history, the kukui tree is a beautiful symbol of Hawaii

Day Three: An Epic journey half way around the Big Island of Hawaii.   My new found friends and I planned a day trip, our goal was to visit the live Volcano, a mere 2 hours from our resort, we made it a scenic route which lasted all day long.  There were all these amazing trees on the way.

I honestly had never traveled with anyone else, who would go with the flow as effortlessly as Gretchen and Jack. Where ever the spirit lead us we were there.  And, at every new turn there were these fabulous trees.  All I wanted to do was climb up and take corny photos!  That's exactly what I did!!

Lucky for me, I had my incredible new travel companions to snap tons of fun photos.  The day just seemed to unfold effortlessly.

The day took on a life of its own.  It was easy, fun, playful and full of goodness.  A combination, of being free to be what we want, when we want it, with uninhibited, carefree attitudes.

We stopped, ate, redirected, ate, laughed, ate, embraced the art of not being on a schedule. It was pure bliss!

Life led with your heart as opposed to your head should be the norm, not the exception.

Why do we let our heads complicated life when leading with our hearts is a natural state?

Find a tree, climb it and be one with all the goodness that is natural and pure.

A tree represents strength, individuality, and life.  It grows slow and steady, changes with the seasons and never asks to be excused for what it is.
Trees adapt, Trees transform.
Trees know their place in the universe.

What would we do without our trees to show us the way?

Our day was full and vibrant.  We did so much, yet made more plans for our last days in Hawaii.  A Luau and bike ride to the red hot lava flow quickly made the list.
