Single Girl Life

I had no idea that being single was an instant invitation to get photos of half naked men sent to you unannounced, with no warning what-so-ever.  It's pretty comical that this is a thing.  Who knew?

Yes, this happened soon after I posted my very first blog post, announcing I was divorced.

This person was a bit more than an aquaintance, but definitely not a friend.  I chatted with him for part of a day and boom here comes a speedo pic out of nowhere.  I was totally entertained and thoroughly enjoyed this new found entry into singleville.

I shared with a few close friends, just to watch their mouths drop.  Little did I know, once I delved into dating apps this would be a common occurrence.  And do I dare speak of sexting?  All exciting blog material just waiting to be posted.

Being single in your 40s is totally different than in your 20s or even in your 30s.  It is a combination of surreal and scary all at once. So many outlets, online and in person.  Well, that is until I realized the dating pool in Volusia County is a bit to be desired.  And I digress!!  I will touch on this in a few weeks.

In the meantime, time alone and finding ones true self after a break up is healthy.  Sometimes, while your busy living life, someone crosses your path unintentionally.  We never really know when we are ready to date after a break up, until someone worthy pops up into the picture.

I like to think I live the 4 Ls.  Live carefree with Love and Laugher and Learn from your mistakes.

The more confident and happy you are the more people will gravitate into your energy force.  Friends and sometimes potential partners.

Not really sure how to navigate being single, I guess I will figure this out one written blog entry a time.

Are we ready?
