Nourishing Relationships

The absolute best divorce advice I have by far is to nourish your friendship relationships.

These are the relationships that will drive, push and pull you through your divorce one day, one week, one month at a time.  Before you know it, you will forget all about your married life, you will forget what you thought you lost ending your marriage and you will see a new life blossom.

Like a lotus flower.

It will be a life filled with new beginnings.  A life filled with hope and happiness. You will thrive in a new sense of home.  You will feel free, light and different.  Living for yourself and your children is such an easier lifestyle.

It may feel difficult in the beginning. It may seem overwhelming as if there is no light at the end of the tunnel.  Yet, when you least expect it, when you do not know it, poof, it happens. You will be set free from your marital chains, you will be set free from the institution.

You are no longer attached to an unfulfilling partner.  You are not obligated to be polite or understanding.  You have no place in that person's life who does not appreciate you.

The care is misplaced.
The abuse is no more.

It could be sudel or extreme.  If your marriage has ended, it is because there is hurt and a relationship that has caused determinate to you, your heart, your soul.

The moment you let your past go, the future opens up, larger, breathing life into you.

In the meantime, your other relationships are key, they are the most important piece of your life after your divorce.  Nourish them, live for them, be open and giving.  Allow new friendships into your life who fullfill you. They will show up at the most opportune times.  Make sure these relationships are positive influences, lifting you up and enhancing who you are as a person.

You will realize life is more than a marriage, it is more than being in a relationship, or with one person.  It is mainly about being your best self, for you and those around you.

Nourish your soul.
Nourish those close to you.

It will all come full circle in the end.
