Throuples

                    A Throuple

Check the Urban Dictionary:
threelationship; a relationship with threepartners

Traditional this means it's a sexual partnership.  It's a true, real thing.
Couples who want a 3rd pary in their relationship.

However, this week, for me and two of my girlfriends on vacation, in Venice, Italy and Greece we have redefined "The Throuple."

It's a little bit of trouble and a little bit of a three way girlfriend couple.  (Without the sex of course)

The three of us compliment one another so well, we joke we are our own Throuple.

"A Platonic Throuple"

We vibe effortlessly. Three, uniquely strong, female personalities on vacation together could be a disaster.  However, we realized early on, we each bring a piece of our dynamic, to enhance one another's lives and ultimately, make a vacation worthy on a deeper level.

We appreciate one another so much, we love who we are, even when we do not agree.

One of us can be uncomfortable on vacation, hot and tired and cranky, another can post a crappy throuple photo and the third can be having a minor home crisis.  Yet....we miraculously push through without damage.

We push through without the typical female stereotypes.

I can not claim I understand why this dynamic works for us.  It came together effortlessly and blindly.

Yet, here we are on vacation.  Laughing, bonding and meeting new people.

We have actually made up stories on how we meet.  Simply for the shock factor and because we find it immensensly entertaining and hilarious.  People believe us, until they figure out we are laughing way too hard.

Here are a few of those stories:

*We are sisterewives from Utah.  We left our husband home with our 17 children.

*We discovered we were all dating the same guy.  When we figured out he was cheating on all of us, we dumped him and planned this vacation.

*One of us is independently wealthy is paying for one of our weddings.  We are on vacation scoping out wedding venues in various countries.

We came up with a few more, but my PG13 rated blog can't handle those stories on a Sunday morning.

Life carries us in many different directions, and many people will cross our path.

However, the ones that make a significant impact are the ones you want the most cherished memories with.

Making each moment count with love and care is a remarkable way to live and see the world around you.
