Flood Gates

Only one week since they let the cage animials out and I feel like we're everywhere.

We are getting our hair done, being feed at restaurants again, we are being social and doing what we choose.

People are going out again. The flood gates have been opened.  Even, with just a little bit of freedom, everyone wants a taste of life as it once was.

In the back of my mind, I still think we are not in the clear with this virus, yet, here were are, pretending nothing is wrong.

We can act as if all is good in sunny Florida, although I know our northern states are still locked down pretty hard. The United States is truly somewhat divided on what we all can and can not do.

What will come of life in the next few weeks?

At 25% capacity, things seem normal.  At 50%  capacity next week, it won't even seem like we were ever stuck at home.  Waiting a little longer for a table doesn't seem like a big deal.  "Of course we will wait 45 minutes to get feed.  We are just thrilled you are open."

Life feels different still, but it we are going through the motions to feel as normal as possible, maybe things will be normal.

Are we better as a society?  Are we more sensitive to others?  What have we learned or will we simply forget?

Will things get worse?  Will more people get sick or worse will more continue to die?

I'd like to think, we will be better, in many respects.  Life has most obviously changed, but will we be better for it?

Have our perspectives changed?

Count your blessings.
Be mindful of your family and friends.
Keep positive thoughts in the forefront of your mind.

Life may seem better at this moment in time, but we could easily be restricted again and at anytime.  We could lose our freedoms as quickly as they were given back to us.

Never take anything in life for granted.

Enjoy the now, as our future is never a certainty.
